Situate within the municipality of Jaca, Banaguas is a small picturesque village at an altitude of 813 metres and is around 70kms from Huesca. The village square is especially pretty, and is home to numerous houses typical of the Pyrenees region....a picture postcard scenery.
The 'Casa de la Abadía' (House of the Abbey) is probably the most impressive monument in the village. Its feature stand out compared to the other buildings in the town and is connected by an arch to the 11th century church of San Juan de Bautista. |
