Canfranc is a town situated close to the French border, in the stunning region of the Pyrenees mountains.

Canfranc is full of meadows and slopes with mixed forests. The nearby mountains are home to large alpine meadows and rocky summits.

Canfranc conserves many ancient monuments from the 19th century, such as the medieval castle which sits on a rocky outcrop, the façade of Azna Palacín’s tower, the four baroque altarpieces of the Asunción church and the Trinidad monument.

There is also the legendary Canfranc Train Station, where german gold is said to have arrived during the second world war, and was used during the filming of Doctor Zhivago.
