The Church of Santiago is located in the southern part of the old medieval city of Jaca, tucked away on the corner of Coso and Ferrenal Streets.

This Romanesque church dates as far back as 1088. It is a reconstructed temple that was built on top of sacred ground. The church faces west, which is very uncommon in this region. It also faces the Galician tomb of Santiago, and this probably the reason for it.

The Santiago church still contains some important remains of the former temple such as: the basilica plan, the belfry tower and parts of the Romanesque vaults.

Inside the church, there are many religious images. The most notable is probably the chapel of the rosary.
