In the Aragon Valley, there are many places to hike, as well as routes in Jaca that you can enjoy among snow covered countryside, green valleys, wild trails, nature, nature, and more nature. The routes vary in difficulty, and range from 1,000 to 2,600 metres in altitude. In the Aragon Valley, we would like to mention the San Adrian de Sasabe Route, the Peña Oroel, the Canal Roya, the Pico de Aspe, the northern part of Pacun, and the Hachar Slope. These are some of the established routes for hiking. It is also important to mention that the best routes are not only in Jaca, but in all of the surrounding towns of the area, such as Astun, Candanchu, Canfranc, Villanua, Castiello, Jaca, Aisa and Borau. All of them have their special routes for a pleasant day hiking in the Aragon Valley, a small paradise inside the Aragonean Pyrenees.
The valley begins in Jaca and runs north up to the French border, and passes by the Candanchu Ski Resort. Through the Aragon Valley, from Jaca to Somport (Pyreneean French border), you'll pass by green, wild and lush forests, incredible views, snowy countryside, and marvellous ruins left over from the Romans. |
